This is a case of a person who had an accident sometime in 1980’s when he was in his final year of medical school (King Edward Medical College). He had a head injury and was hospitalized and went in coma for a day or two. After recovering from his injury he never felt 100% fit. He felt confused and anxious, unable to concentrate on simple daily life tasks. Unfortunately he was unable to complete his medical school. Due to severed ties with his family he was all alone and till today alone and suffering from same sort of symptoms with diurnal variation. He has been to psychiatrists and have had all types of medications but still hasn’t recovered. He is known to Welfare Network staff since a long time. An honest and intelligent person who can carry out any task given provided his mental state is normal but it is very unfortunate that his illness has become a big handicap for him. He has been offered jobs by his friends so that he can earn for himself but after trying many times he feels he is unable to continue the routine 9 to 5 jobs because of his diurnal mental confusion, depression and abnormal sleep patterns.
