A patient with repeated heart attacks at Ziaudin Hospital Karachi needs help regarding payment of her hospital bills so that we can move her to Indus hospital which is free. Patient just got stabilized but the hospital is not releasing her until the bill is paid in full but aren’t giving her required medical care either. They have shifted her to a general ward from the ICU due to nonpayment and the required procedures for treatment have come to a halt. So the patient is stuck when she requires immediate medical attention. If the bills are not paid additional amounts will be added to her account for keeping her there in the general ward. Funds collected through donations will be deposited to the hospital directly.

Initial target for fundraising was Rs 191,000. By around 24th July the bill became Rs 298,000. By the time all the collection was done and cheques were cleared on 2nd August, the final unpaid bill became Rs 390,000. For all this time the patient was kept as a hostage. Finally all payment has been done to the hospital and she has been released.
