Dr. Khawaja Omair Husain is a native to Lahore, Pakistan who graduated from King Edward Medical University. He has been residing in the United States for more than two decades and has been linked with the medical profession in various capacities including active practice of medicine, research and education. Dr. Husain has a Master in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. He is formally trained in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. He currently works in Hospital Medicine at one of the regional community hospitals with MedStar Health which is one of the biggest health systems in and around the Washington DC area. Dr. Husain is the Chief of hospital medicine at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center. In addition to being a frontline clinical provider, he is deeply involved in developing and implementing strategies to enhance quality of care. He is part of the executive team of administrators leading the fight against the COVID pandemic.
